About
In my oil paintings, the raw energy of the street and the deep, emotional experience of personal stories merge into a surrealist dream. Sleeping homeless people on the asphalt blend with the shadows of the night, while those waiting at bus stops float in a universe of time and space. My art serves as a link between these chaotic worlds.
My working method is based on intense inner visualization. My focus is primarily on observing, fantasizing, and feeling the scene, while the actual physical painting process makes up only a small part of my practice. I work in great detail on figures and scenes, emphasizing the balance of elements to create a harmonious composition—a balance that remains intact even when I overlay the canvas with intense colors.
The depiction of time through deformed contours creates an atmosphere where past, present, and future flow into one another—a universe where everything is possible and nothing remains as it seems. In these images, the boundaries between fantasy and reality blur through the power of memory and the distortions of consciousness.
I paint large-scale formats up to 2 by 2.5 meters. With intense colors and expressive forms, I create works that possess both a strong visual and emotional presence. In my work, I address the challenges of urban life, the importance of origin, the processing of fears, and the depth of human relationships. Growing up in Berlin-Kreuzberg, in an environment marked by social tensions, these personal experiences flow directly into my art, giving it its authentic depth.
